Last week, Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin mentioned he felt a lack of respect for the Aggies in the ultra-competitive SEC. You couldn’t ask for better timing when the official SEC store decided to start selling a Texas A&M Bulldogs hat just in time for the season.

Of course the item was discontinued on the SEC Store fairly quickly, but the timing could not have been funnier for Sumlin.

I think I speak for most SEC fans when I say I’m excited to see the Aggies take the field against the SEC competition. Talking about respect in July is irrelevant. I think the Aggies will be able to earn it on the gridiron.
