The short version

Win out, hope the Bucs lose a game and we are in. :thumb:

You honestly believe that the Giants are going to win their next 3 games (including ones against the Boys & Lions)? If they lose just one of those & the Redskins win out then the Redskins are in the playoffs.

It would not shock me to see Dallas go into safe mode. I dont expect NY to win out, but then I also dont think we will either.

But yea, I think week 17 will decide which of us between NY and Washington gets the 6th seed.

I can understand where you are coming from, but I am not worried about the future of either Gruden & certainly not Cousins barring a complete disaster for the rest of the season. I would guess that the team evaluates players & coaches completely differently than your average fan (hope so). They understand the strengths & weaknesses (several of which you pointed out very well) better than anyone & realize that it doesn't all fall on the QB and coach. My guess would be that their plan for the offseason is pretty well set at this time barring any major injuries.

Also - don't get me wrong in terms of if the Redskins don't make the playoffs. I hope 100% that they do make the playoffs. However - if they don't I won't go nuts since I still believe that this team is heading in the rt direction & some of the losses may help them long term in helping to identify issues and improve moving forward.

I just watched parts of the game right now. Norman looked like he was going through the motions or at half-speed when he was WTF! ran over by Gresham. And he should've been called for a strike to the head of a QB while totally whiffling on what looked to be an easy sack and maybe a for fum opportunity.. David Johnson literally skipped through the whole damn defense one time for 15 yards. Our defense is just flat out embarressing on so many levels. Did I mention how the D sucks swollen blue whale nuts in crunchtime? They do, but they are not the biggest problem the Redskins have. The defense was pretty much a given to be crap this year.

Or at least they shouldn't get the lion's share of the blame. That goes to our RZ offense.

All pretty much spot on. Jeez - you would think that they could at least fix the RZ issues especially now that Williams is back. I hope & pray that they can put in a complete effort this week and win going away (pipe dream most likely). Forget about the playoffs - just put out a good effort & focus on this week - the rest will take care of itself.

Hoping Seattle keeps winning so Dallas has to keep playing at least until the Tampa game.

Yeah, I would've liked to have seen a couple more runs in those goal-to-goal situations. Put Rob behind our best road grader(s) and hammer it home. On the fade to Dax though, JC was pretty much wide open from the time he left the LOS as he and Garcon ran a nice pick route that didn't look blanantly pick-ish. Unfortunately I think the RZ issues have become mental and possibly for more than jiust one key figure in the RZ braintrust.

Pierre Paul is now gone for the entire season. Beyond L. Collins he was pretty much their whole D. The remaining schedule will be tough for the Giants.

Bottom line. If the #Redskins win Sunday and the Giants, Bucs or Falcons lose the Skins are back in control of their playoff fate. #HTTR
