They're not, because Lackey has been very good this year. He doesn't have the best stuff (Martinez does), but he's a veteran with a mountain of experience and he's still got plenty of gas left in the tank. He's the "safe" choice.

Although I think Chappee is right, the Cardinals should totally start Kershaw instead. IDK why they are choosing Lackey over Kershaw, to be honest.

Well then you need to learn how to read a fucking resume. The numbers don't lie. Lackey has been better. A resume tells you about the past. Lackey has a better playoff resume than Kershaw or Price. Ample empirical evidence confirms that.
