I know the pitching matchup looks lopsided but I think the Pirates have a better shot than what people think

If Edinson can avoid losing his shit, the Pirates have a good chance but I'm a Padres fan and know what he was like for us. I expect implosion and antics on the mound early.

Volquez may well get lit up tonight, but he has been significantly better this year than he was as a Padre.

As good as Bumgarner can be, I won't be to surprised if the Pirates get to him. Some pretty good right-hand bats in McCutchen, Harrison, Russell, and Marte.

I think this game is a toss up.

If Edinson makes it through the heart of the order a couple of times without getting rocked, I'm going to be excited at their chances.

The good news for Pittsburgh if they can eke out a win is having their rotation ready to go for a 7-game series.

I would give the Giants about a 55-45 advantage. That is still, essentially, a coin flip.
