Pirates give slumping McCutchen 3 games off

Yeah, he is probably not happy but he needs something. And unlike most professionals he won't make a big deal of it to cause an issue in the clubhouse.

I hope he gets his mind right. I, of course, don't much care for the Pirates, but this is too talented of a guy to continue playing like this.

I can't convey how upset I am that I missed it.

Hopefully the Cardinals can get some momentum but I'm not counting on it. That was like 90% Red imploding and 10% Cardinals being clutch.

Not much the Birds had to do but take a walk or be a punching bag. I guess over 100 years, a lot of games are decided this way. For the Reds, it's less about winning anything than playing like they have some sense of pride. That one did wonders to piss off the fan base.
