As a Cardinals I'm kind of pleasured to see Heyward has struggled. Piscotty's been very good for us as well. I think Piscotty could be our #3 hitter once Holliday leaves
I can see Piscotty being the future staple for the Cardinals. Probably a 3-5 WAR young player with a good bat with some upside. As a Cardinals I'm kind of pleasured to see Heyward has struggled. Piscotty's been very good for us as well. I think Piscotty could be our #3 hitter once Holliday leaves
That was pretty much my impression of next year's fa class, too.FA class next year is shit...the Cards are still holding out hope for Grich to put together some kind of consistency
Who green lights a pitcher on short rest in a regular season when he has never done it before?
LOL at Homer Bailey talking shit about the Reds' return on the Jay Bruce trade.
He said, "There's nothing personal about that, but right now, we're definitely making some moves that are quite questionable, especially for the guys who put on the jersey every day."
Funny shit. Instead of pissing and moaning about the Reds FO's ineptitude, he should STFU and just count his lucky stars that as a below average pitcher he's in the midst of a 6yr/$105MM contract due in large part to the questionable move the Reds made in giving him that contract.
"Questionable moves that the Reds make that result in $105MM in my bank account are pretty cool. The other ones? Not so much..."
I know, how could the Reds break up their core by trading Jay Bruce and his -0.3 WAR over the last 2.5 years?
Speaking of Votto, he's now hitting a blistering .376/.516/.600 (197 wRC+) in 223 PA since the beginning of June. He was striking out a lot more than usual, but his K% has dipped back down to Votto levels. He's walked 22.4% of his plate appearances.
