wrong, it is on their radar. Always is when NHL starts talking about relocating a team or expansion. We are in the same talks as Seattle getting a team.

You might want to listen to radio sports stations outside of Oregon for your info. Quebec, Southern Ontario and Seattle will all get a team before Portland ever will.

The Winterhawks were the favorites to make it this past season. Kootenay just got hot at the right time & Portland just couldn't put the puck in the net.

I wouldn't be surprised if Johanssen, Nino, Ross, Bartschi, Cunningham & Morrow all return next year. They could lose a couple of them though.

Cunningham was an O/A so he is definitely gone. I agree that Ross, Bartschi, Morrow and Rattie will be back which is why the Winterhawks will still be very dangerous. I've seen enough of what Johansen and Nino have done though to believe they will for sure be in the NHL next season. They're men among boys in the WHL and I think it would be a wasted year in their development. JMO

Canada has plenty teams. I think the NHL would look to grow the American market.

Portland would be a far better market than some of the ones that exist as of now I will agree, but that statement shows how little you know about the NHL and hockey in general.

This thread is awesome. Some of you amaze me with how much you know about different minor league hockey players that aren't even a part of your team's organization. Also, big up to Ducks, he decided a few weeks ago he's going to get more into hockey and he's already asking questions about guys in junior hockey.

Cheers to all.

Junior hockey is awesome. It is the purest form of the game. Not about money or big contracts, just young men playing the game they love.

The only problem Nino has is where do the Isles slot him? The top 2 lines are set for next season. My guess is if Nino makes the team he'll be on the 3rd line.

Parenteau, Tavares, Moulson
Comeau, Neilson, Grabner
Niederreiter, Bailey, Okposo
