Good thing for you. Those stats don't reflect what you want. Voter fatigue is a real thing though.
Give me a break, this debate has gone on for years just with different people. Numbers can be generated to support a number of people. It doesn’t matter what either of us think, Shai is winning this season.

Deflect all you want. Look at the numbers above (standard stats, nothing too far in the weeds) and tell me Jokic isn't leading the vast majority of them. Shai is the favorite because he's definitely in that mix but also a fresh candidate. Neither team wins without their guy.

We went through this whole argument with Embiid in recent years. Other than one year of voter fatigue, Jokic came out on top then too. He's the most dominant player in the league (which still amazes me). These foreign-born players like Jokic and Luka winning without the usual NBA athleticism is just wild (and really confuses the eye).

I agree voter fatigue is, and absolutely should be, a factor. No way I’m conceding Jokic is the better player though. 11 game lead.

^^^^^^

I know that has nothing to do with this season. Just thought it was interesting so I wanted to post it.

This season Joker's PER is 32.9. For comparison SGA's is 30.8. Info from stat-.muse.com

That's odd. Just wondering which site you used? Maybe it's more accurate than stat-muse.

And I don't want anyone to think I'm saying Jokic should win MVP. He's having a helluva season again but SGA's the best player on the best team in the WC and is having his own spectacular season.

Now that's some can't miss NBA action. I like the Thunder's overall team more than the Nuggets.

It won't matter. Yeah maybe voter fatigue is part of it but OKC will also likely win 65+ games. I think it would be a great feat getting Denver the 2 or 3 seed but record matters for MVP. I think it matters more than it should but that's going to be the main reason. A player putting up great stats on a team that wins a ton of games.

So, you think a player shouldn't win MVP because people are tired of him winning MVP.

A player putting up great stats on a great team who hasn’t won before

It happens. Legit reasons for Shai to win though, lots of them.
