I'm reading that ANA has picked him up.

Damn, I guess Niklas Bergfors passed through waivers.....seems like he could have been a low risk, high reward option.

Not a fan of Bergfors (guy seems like he's regressing instead of improving) but you know better than that Filo. DWil's gonna have as few Euros on this team as possible. Looking back on it, the Handzus signing is kind of surprising. He's probably on the team because he doesn't play like the typical Euro stereotype.

Supposedly Bergfors is as lazy as a player can be. That's the knock on the guy. He's on a one year deal for 600K and still no GM wanted him. I guess all the GMs around the league has gotten the memo.

I'm not a huge fan of Bergfors by any stretch, but he only makes $575K/yr. He's got talent, but lacks in effort. If he could play on a line with Handzus and Havlat, I think that might make him a little excited to play again. If he doesn't work, put him on re-entry waivers and somebody will pick him up. Waisting $287,500 seems like a pittance for the money paid to Wallin and Huskins the last couple years, lol.

But yeah, you're right, Dwil is a little bit of a xenophobe.

I thought Comeau would have a good year being a contract year and all. Doubt the Sharks will get a chance at claiming him.

I agree, I can't see him falling to the Sharks either. Comeau would be a great addition IMO.
