DarrenDreger: Great gesture by Dan and Sarah Hamhuis, who according to a press release have donated $100,000 to Ronald McDonald House.

That definitely deserves its own thread - Kudos to Dan and Sarah.

Classy move, especially during an time of uncertainty. (not that Hammer's really in any financial danger, but you know what I'm saying...)

He plays for the Canucks? No, it's very easy not to like him.

:brushteeth:

Generosity is kinda okay I guess though.

lol BB.

Very cool gesture. As we all know most famous folks that donate huge sums of cash to certain causes usually like to keep it hush-hush for a number of valid reasons. One being that the donations are supposed to be about the "cause" not the person doing the donating as a means of using the situation to gain attention for themselves.

Since ol Danny boy snubbed the Flyers I believe that is exactly why he donated the money.

lol Just kidding folks. Just kidding. :)

Sedins gave the Childrens' Hospital $1.5 million last year, and wanted to do it anonymously.
The Hospital asked to be able to publicize it, as that type of gift can lead to significant follow-on donations.

After all the times that they get illegally taken down on the ice, they're probably just paying medical bills. ;)
