The phrase "he tagged him right on the button" comes to mind...

Reports from the Oilers are suggesting Teubert might have a busted beak...

Unfortunately, we don't have the same pipeline of quality play-by-play guys like you guys have on the West Coast (Robson, Hughson, Shorthouse)

and you know what Rick Ball is pretty damn good too ... he'll be doing the jets games on HNIC

MacT gooning it up with the score out-of-hand :yell:

I am seeing the future

I didnt even see this part of the game ... was the fight in response to something that happened right then and there ... of the little bit I saw, Teubert at 1 point elbowed Prab Rai in the head after an offside was called to blow the play dead

/this was where Rob Kerr said some junk about "boys being boys"

looked to me like Tuebert was the one who was the most eager to fight.
I was a bit surprised, because I haven't seen that side of his game before.
and now I know why

PITB on the road: Young Stars tournament, part 2 | Vancouver Sun Sports Blogs

HM: You’ve obviously had a bunch of people approach you you today after learning that you broke Colton Teubert’s nose last night.
AP: Yes. *laughs* I’ve talked to a couple people.
HM: Did you know who it was when you hit him?
AP: No idea. Seriously, for me, it was just a guy who asked me for a fight. I saw he’s big, and he’s tall, so I fought him.
HM: How does it feel to find out you broke somebody’s nose in a fight? I mean, you’re trying to hurt the guy but you’re not trying to hurt the guy, right?
AP: I didn’t really care what happened to him. After, when I figured out who it was — a first round pick, he was older than me, I feel kind of good. But it was just a fight.

:L nice try Dowbiggen

In one gory encounter, Edmonton's Colten Teubert had his nose smashed to a bloody pulp by a single punch from Vancouver's massive Adam Polasek (described as a "killer" punch by the TV voice). Teubert is going to miss the rest of the tournament as a result. But, as Don Cherry is wont to point out, no one headed in disgust for the exits at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton, B.C.

Polasek is listed at 6"2, Tuebert at 6"4

good call puck

Polasek found it amusing that fans were thinking the Canucks had found a new enforcer. He’s had two fights in each of his two years with the PEI Rocket of the Quebec League. Dropping the gloves is usually not part of his game.

“I laughed when I read on the website that I’m the next tough guy,” he said. “That’s too much.”
