IMO its a really poor choice by the NHLPA. from now on any team that gets into this situation will just have the injured players dress but get no ice time.

Nothing good can come from this.

There is nothing to investigate. There is no way Salvadore went on LTIR without a medical doctor diagnosing him with a concussion. And the current climate surrounding the treatment of head injuries in sports will not allow Bettman to question whether or not Salvadore should really be on IR.

If Rolston has a hernia, then he has a hernia and medical data will back it up. Is it fortuitous? Yeah, obviously it is (for the cap situation), though I never wish injuries on anyone.
