I would love for Winnipeg and Quebec to both get teams.

Are you saying that a guy like Lemieux or Burkle has no pull in the league? My point was they need a group of them to come together to get something done.

No, just you guys are few years removed from your own financial problems and are still kind of a smaller market team. The teams that are asked to share revenue are the ones who like Dash put it, are printing presses for money.

Burkle seems to be a billionaire, but not a Mark Cuban type - that is what is needed. He is a shrewd businessman and knows how to make money - he saw an opportunity in Pittsburgh and jumped at it(also, he's tried to buy a couple of NBA teams on the cheap as well) An owner who will step up and clash with the commish - not smile and nod politely when he speaks is what is needed, unfortunately, the BOG will rarely let anybody in like this. If the city of Glendale will continue to make the 25 million dollar payments to the NHL, there is no hurry to relocate until the right situation presents itelf.

I don't know Destroy, I never understood that. I guess we don't know what will happen until things are set in motion, but I've gotten the impression that it's "OK" for Atlanta to move, but no way can Ponix be touched. Like you said, Phoenix has been there longer, had more success, and still doesn't draw as well. Atlanta is also the bigger media market.
