Gotta like the consistency of the refs - They totally miss the Wilson hit and then to make amends they call a penalty on Murphy for a clean hit (unless hitting a guy in the upper chest is now a penalty).

Did he though? It wasn't charging, it wasn't boarding, initial contact looked upper chest to me, but I guess you can argue he also tagged his chin. At any rate, no where near the ferocity of the Wilson hit the other night.

That said, If Matthew Tkachuk hits a guy like that, it's probably a one-way trip to Gitmo.

That could be the part that gets him in trouble if the DOPeS decide this is the case. I've looked at the hit several times and it is tough to tell, but I'm sure the NHL will slow it down frame-by-frame to see if it is the case.
