They might as well be playing with a super ball the way the puck is bouncing out there.

Panthers had as many goals in the second period as the Jackets had shots on goal

Pens need help on offense like no ones business. Just too many guys out up front (ignore this complaint 43). Dupuis for the year was a hit, then Kunitz for a few weeks hurt too. Then you take out Letang for a few weeks, and tonight it's Hornqvist going down. Simply no offensive depth. When your top six wingers are Blake Comeau (can't complain about his performance this year, of course), Nick Spaling, Steve Downie, and Jayson Megna you're going to run into some issues. Again, just no depth in the system. Gotta have a trade coming soon. The team is good enough on it's own merit to survive with these guys out, but it's gonna be ugly. Far too much defensive talent in the system to not get an interesting piece in a trade.

Hopefully Hornqvist will be all right. I think he just got his bell rung. Maybe precautionary. It's December. Lot of injuries league wide. Outside of Duper, I don't think many of the injuries are long term, which is nice, i guess.

Tip of the cap to the Nucks. They ran the show tonight. :yo:

With 13 minutes to play in the third, shots are currently 42-15 in favor of the Panthers.

Bold plan. Let them wear their arms out... THEN ATTACK

WHOOO! A POINT!

Every Panther except Gudbranson has a shot on goal. Total of 51 for the Pans.

94 attempted. Jackets blocked 26

Refs miss a goalie interference call, but I think Briere hit the puck with his glove so it should be no goal.

Verdict from the war room: No goal

Johansen wins it in the coinflip, and earns a Foligno hug for it.

Bob finished with 59 stops including the shootout.

I hate it when refs miss a slew foot and then the offending team scores 30 seconds later...

hard hitting game for two teams that never see each other.
that 3rd line was pretty special tonight.

Nice to see Lack get a goose-egg. Miller was threatening to get all of the starts.

Some more late game heroics - Wideman ties it 3-3 with Ramo on the bench for an extra attacker.
