Dupuis stuff is scary as crap. Hard to see it being anything other than a fx vertebrae. Looks like right around C7. I hate, hate, hate when guys get up after these incidents. I don't blame him, or any other athlete, that does, but it scares me because the incidence of displacement goes WAY up when you move. He was clearly feeling numbness through his arm (coach said that too in the postgame), which is why they put him on the stretcher so quickly. A+ work by the sports med staff. That's how it's done. Quick assessment, get them in the ambulance ASAP. Here's to hoping he can get back this season...but I'm not hopeful at the moment. I know Langkow had a similar mechanism of injury a few years back, and I think he was down about 12 months. The important thing is he can move and is awake. Lots of bad injury stuff tonight, man. And, although it's not an excuse with pro-athletes, they're still human. And I really think his injury sort of shook the Pens. They were dominant in the first, about even in the second, and flat in the third.

They did find the guy with the laser pointer and he was ejected from the Bell Centre.

Fun fact: Every game the B's play vs. the Habs this season is the second half of a back-to-back. Only one game is a back-to-back for the Habs.

That's great news, pix. As you mentioned in your earlier post, that looked eerily similar to the Langkow puck to the back of the neck and even though he came back after a year away from the game, he was essentially done.
