There is absolutely NO CHANCE the Islanders take Nathan Beaulieu at 5. The player who is climbing draft boards along with Huberdeau is Abidenajad.

I agree. #5 seems awfully high for Beaulieu and I'm obviously a big fan of his.

Founnnnd it, funny what a nice google search can do. And I LIKE the way this guy thinks! I really liked what I saw from Jurco in the Memorial Cup. And hey, we have a nice working relationship with St. John.

Jurco is probably my favorite player on the Sea Dogs. I wouldn't mind seeing him on a line with Crosby or Malkin in a few years.

And you're right about the nice working relationship. In addition to Despres, the Pens have a couple other former Sea Dogs in their system with Alex Grant and Nick Peterson.

If they're able to draft Jurco I think he'd jump up fairly high in our rankings for wingers. We're pretty weak in the winger front. A lot of our higher ranked prospects have fallen off recently.
