Yep. The year I won (by a landslide), I had 9 of 11 players still in the finals.
I picked my 2 horses and rode them to victory. This year it's Bruins and Canucks (but not looking good so far on one side)

I don't see a problem with it.
He picked 4 players that are currently down in their series.
if the points are calculated by spreadsheet like I think they are, it wouldn't too hard to subtract the points of the players he picked up until this date to his total so it would be like he entered today.
It isn't my call though.
