So, I said that one of my players got to go to the red carpet event. After our game on Saturday I joked to him that he needs to tell Nick Foligno that he's my favorite player and invite him to our practice. He said he would.

So at practice tonight I asked if he did that and he said that he told him he was my favorite player (but forgot to tell him about practice). And then he said that he got all the players to sign a hat of his, and then got Nick to also sign his ticket stub with the intention of giving it to me. But his brother threw a fit and he "had to" give it to him instead.

He said that when he told Foligno that, Nick said "your coach is either very sharp or not sharp at all".

Pretty nice thought. Kid was already one of my favorite players.

I think they are starting to....the ASG MVP voting was a fan vote. In other words, a sham.

I realize that, I just don't think it's funny. I wouldn't have had a problem if they had given it to Voracek a former Blue Jacket. He had a hat trick & 3 assists. To give the MVP to a player on the losing team is ridiculous.
