I just can't get on the "losing to get a higher draft pick" train. Flames will probably end up with pick #5 or #6 and still get a pretty good player in any event.

I agree with this sentiment, it's good that there are guys on the Flames who are developing as players right now - they still need a lot of guys in order to get better - but guys like Mikael Backlund who are developing really nicely, it's a good sign for the future

Flames just need to keep stocking up and at some point good things will happen

I couldnt get on that train either. I hate losing. I hate my teams losing. I hate it more than i like winning.

Funny you mention that, in the Blues/Flyers game today, Claude Giroux got called for two penalties on the same play - although two different refs called them, rarely does a player get called for two penalties on the same play

I just saw the Hall - Eakins exchange, Hall slammed down a water bottle and sprayed Eakins with a bunch of water and the coach was pretty upset.

If I'm Dallas Eakins, I'd rather have someone have passion like that than someone not having any passion - I think he should give him a pass there, that's a tough spot in the game when your team is getting your ass kicked
