One thing I like about Michael Vick is that he will lower his shoulder to try to get a few extra yards.

I remember when he broke his collerbone or shoulder in a preseason game when he was on the Falcons, a reporter asked him why he didn't slide. He said "This is football...it's a contact sport." They mentioned he got injured, he just repeated what he said.

I thought that was awesome and the mentality QBs should have as well.

When he was out 4-6 weeks with a broken collarbone how well did the Falcons do?

I mean I hear ya but when a starting QB goes down for 4-6 weeks it is pretty much over for the season if playoffs are the goal.

Let's reverse things. Ed Reed does something similar that is obvious to all has the intent to do injury Tom Brady. Swept under the rug?

Brady apologized and Ed Reed accepts it but it was a punk-ass thing to do. Period.

I don't think Brady was trying to injure Reed. It looked like he extended his leg to shield himself from the defender, more of an instinctive reaction than anything else. He still shouldn't have done it, but let's not be drama queens about this.

Gore was fined $10,500 for wearing his socks too low....by NFL standards, uniform standards is more important that player safety (unless the player is a QB)
