The Commanders second round pick had a lot of hype surrounding him after the draft. Many believed the Commanders were the perfect fit for him in terms of defensive scheme. Throughout training camp, Martin has impressed many with his lockdown coverage skills and his ability to play multiple positions in the secondary. Friday’s game was quieter than many had hoped for Martin. Martin got flagged twice during his performance, but also recorded four tackles. It was his first game in the NFL, so I wouldn’t overreact to his performance, but due to the high expectations I had for him going into the game, I have to put him in the losers section for now.
