Hey guys. We are doing a Mock Draft on the general board and I think you guys should come be apart of it. Come check out the thread and see if your team has been taken yet:

http://www.sportshoopla.com/forums/...ortsHoopla-draft-mock-off-season-signups.html

And if they have, don't worry, I'm sure the person picking won't mind coming to the team board and discussing picks with you. The team boards will be like the war rooms for each team. This should be very fun for everyone. Many boards have done this before and it was a great experience. Especially if you love the draft, this is something you should for sure check out.

I have done this in the past (GM for another team or two), but wasn't able to get the Skins, 46n2 beat me to it. It was alot of fun.

Can some of us be in your war room gk?? Or are you going with a true Snyder/Jerrah approach (my way or the highway)??

I'm all for it but I'm not even sure how it's going to work yet. I have been in a few myself and even ran a couple. They are a blast. I have been in a few where you have only five minutes to make your pick and I've seen those where you have 4 hours.

If it's one where we can have time to discuss it, I'm all for the input.

I sure wish Obama and Congress would act like adults and discuss things before making decisions.

Not sure if there are any ground rules, but I don't think there was any true time limit when I did it a coupla years ago. As long as you are doing it in a reasonable amount of time (every few hours), noone will give you too much flack for it. They will just pick for you and tell you to "get off the shitter" if you are dragging too long on it. Naturally, the first 2 or 3 rounds go fairly quickly, then the final 3-4 drag on for several days. Some people will just start picking players at that point. I actually did some research, checked out the team needs, and based my picks on that. Was a good time.

The rules for this one are:

1) It starts out with one hour time slots/pick.
2) However, if somebody picks at 10:30 then the next person has from 10:31 until 11:30.

I will come here, time permitting, before our pick comes up with updates on each pick we have and ask for input. I'm going to operate under the assumption we resign RAK, Hall, and Riley. I'm also going to operate under the assumption we will be cutting Chester, Lichtensteiger, and Carriker (possibly Montgomery and Bowen). I am also going to assume we are staying with the 3-4. We will also trade KC so backup QB will be an option.

I see our most glaring needs as follows:

Tier 1 (no idea who can start)- ILB, S, one interior OL
Tier 2 (idea but only if it pans out or it's not a happy idea)- interior OL
Tier 3 (definitely use a better starter or at least competition)- OT, interior OL, WR, DE (NT if the value was there b/c Cofield can go to DE)
Tier 4 (depth and talent)- backup QB, WR, TE, OL, DE, ILB, and CB

You don't feel like WR outside of Garcon is a huge question mark gk?? Not questioning your priorities. Just curious as to what you think we do at that position in the offseason if we don't address it early in the draft (FA?? Go with what we've got??)

WR is definitely a need but I don't think about it like some do. I do believe Hank is capable of being a starter, if healthy. Can we use a better player or at least competition? Of course we can but do you expect a second round WR to start day one...NOPE. There are also a lot of options in FA at WR.

When does this draft occur? Before or after FA? It will make a difference.

Today was day one of the draft but it's going to take a while. It was only 12 picks today. That puts us drafting on Friday.

I will post tomorrows results on here tomorrow night and get your input for the pick if you want to add to it.

So far, only Sammy Watkins was taken at WR and I'm hoping teams are scared off of guys like Evans because of their lack of speed.

Now my thinking:

WR- Kelvin Benjamin
OT- Antonio Richardson
NT- Louis Nix
OT/G- La'el Collins
G- Gabe Jackson

This is my current thinking and realistically, I'd just assume trade back a couple of spots. There were a couple of CBs that almost made this list as well as Hageman at DE. Hopefully, it doesn't come to that.

Any input?
