Not only does it help during those 6 games a year, it helps during the other 10 games to have such softies ALWAYS on your schedule.

It's actually pathetic that in those 6 free games per season the Patriots could only gain 2.45 wins over the next best.

Chicken or the egg. Patriots won all those games because they were dominant and pushed those teams down with an automatic 2 losses per year, or the other teams are ranked that low because they were that bad. Since the Patriots were in 9 Super Bowls and won 6, I'd lean toward the former.

The sad rams looked so pathetic in their Super Bowl loss against the Patriots, and the Eagles looked so dominant in our Super Bowl victory against the same Patriots. So their whiny fans like to cry about that too because they rightly feel pretty inferior.

Seriously, jokes aside, I don't think about the Rams as an Eagles fan. They are not a team I consider a rival or anything. They are literally the 3rd team in their division I would worry about playing most, behind SF and Seattle. I think about the Rams as much as, say, Atlanta or something.

I agree. Those teams are pretty far off the radar. There's really no hatred towards those teams like there is towards the other teams in the division or teams that win all the time. If the Rams or Falcons are doing well I'm usually like "well, good for them".

The AFC is full of one team divisions. The only real exception was the Ravens but even they still had the Bengals and Browns to beat up on. The path to the playoffs during this era was so much easier if you're in the AFC compared to the NFC.

The best team of this period went 10 years without a SB win.....
