Quincy McDuffie, UCF WR, signs with Broncos. 5'9" with 4.3-4.4 speed. Had 6 KR TDs and a 7th called back on a hold. Definite value as a returner. Have to see if he makes it.

Tyrann Mathieu, drafted by the Cardinals, says he'll hold out if he doesn't get guaranteed money in his contract. It's Monday, 2 days after the draft, and Mathieu is already making demands. I'm SOOOO glad that the Broncos didn't draft this headache. I'm also glad we didn't draft a 5'8" corner. What was Arizona thinking?

Kind of interesting that all of the receivers are smaller, faster players. I wonder if they are looking for another guy that can return kicks, bring some speed to the field for a few plays.

Here's an excellent draft memory. On the other hand...

Boy, was I wrong.

Ball I think if he had a better head on his shoulders could have really been something. His rookie year he had some great flashes of what he could have been. The injuries and demotion though were just too much for him and he just let it get to him. Sometimes these guys are just not mentally ready to handle all that the NFL throws at them. A lot of these guys are going from being the best player on their team to just another guy in the lockerroom and have never really had to fight for their job.

This is why I loved listening to the interview with Paxton Lynch's college coach today because he said he chewed him out all the time when he made mistakes in games and practice. He said he never coddled the kid and thinks it will help him to mentally handle what the NFL will try to do to him.
