I've got Nos. Marino throwing to those weapons is going to put up many more points than Favre would with the weapons he has.

Two well balanced teams. Both defenses are great, but Nos has the superior offense and far superior QB.

Nos 28
Milk 24

I like pretty much everything about Milks offense I just like everything about mine a little more, I mean everything my QB, RB's, WR's, TE, Line I think im slightly better everywhere on offense.

The defenses are closer IMO, I really like Carl Eller, think he is one of the most underrated linemen of all time. I think I like my line a little beter but its close and I wouldnt blame anyone for liking Milks line better. Milk is playing a 3-4 OLB in a 4-3 other than that I really like his LB's. Even with someone out of position I still like his LB's more than mine. I think we have maybe the two best secondaries in the draft. I do like my safties a little more but Woodson and the Train are impressive.

I like Milk's team and thought it was one of the better teams in the draft I just think my TEAM is better.

I really like Milk's RB's, and if there ever was a receiver built for Favre it is Carmichael. Nos's interior line would make Earl Campbell very dangerous and Marino is probably my favorite QB of all time.

On defense I think Milk has maybe the best secondary in this competition and I like his dline a lot. I really don't like Rickey Jackson as a 4-3 LB, but despite that I think he has enough on defense to get it done.

I vote Milk

the parenthesis are (AV,AV/game,highest AV, and # of AV seasons over 15)

From this:

QB- Nos wins but it is pretty close, Marino had the better single season and higher per season but had a less elite seasons.

RBs- Milk wins- this is not even close using AV

WRs- Nos wins, not even close

Offensive line- Milk wins, but is very close

DTs and DEs- Nos wins- moderately close

LBs- Milk wins and close

CBs- Milk wins, not close

Safeties- Milk wins- very close

offense 2-2
defense milk wins 3-1

Both teams have a weak defensive line, His strength at offense is my strength at defense... But His defensive line is not as good as my running game...

My team should Win...

I personally love my receivers... Wont say they are as good as Nos', but I love having the 3 different styles... I have Bob Hayes who is the fastest man who has ever played football, and he was a damn good receiver... Speed spreads the field, then I have Harold Carmichael who is one of the best Tall WR, who will be a great endzone threat... then I have Rod smith who had 80+ receptions 5 times and 100 or more twice... Then Mackey who is one of the best TEs of all time, and in many circles is considered the BEST...

Tough one here... Milk did a nice job putting this team together Nos, not so much... I kid... I really like what Nos did with his add/drop... When I was young I really liked the dome patrol and Swilling was my favorite one of the group but after truly watching him and knowing more about the game it seems he used a great opportunity to do great things... In a 3-4 with great players surrounding him I think he has great value as a pass rusher, where Nos had him I did not like...

However, there's a whole team so... I like both lines but in the battle of the trenches I give Nos the slight edge on both sides... Not necessarily because he's better but because Sapp is going to have some problems and I personally feels he's Milks best Dlineman... The middle of the line is the best in the draft and it's going to be tough to get anything up the middle for Milk... Milks biggest plus is that Eller faces Gross and that's going to be a long day for him, however their are ways to help him there not to mention Earl Campbell who I had penciled in as my backup is going to be able to go inside a lot with that middle of the line which means Gross will just have to seal a lot and/or have Tony help... I think actually Milk and I should have swapped MLB because Bouniconti is more a pass defender... A great tackler for sure but Thomas (Nitschke would have been the correct move to be honest) would have fit better and NB would have been better on my team with my tacklers... At any rate I think this game is won right up the middle with Campbell and some play action to TG... I think the passing game for both teams will be tough and Nos has the better set up for the counter (no pun intended)...

Just to address you Milk, I love Marcus Allen... When he left the Raiders I started to really watch college... Al Davis ran me off eventually but that was the biggest move... You can use him as your HB and FB at times... However, Nos took his weakness to the LBs spot and so his Dline which is pretty impressive will be facing greatness the force sort of evens out where his strength is focused on your weaker spots... So while your linebackers are better, he's going to be able to get to the second level easier, your oline is going to have to secure the line of scrimmage first and won't be able to go second level as easy which means his LBs will be able to make more plays eventhough you have the better LB group... Hope that clears up my breakdown... Let me know if you need any clearing up, and these are just my thoughts... I may be wrong but that's how I see it playing out...

Nos - 28
Milk - 24

in what world is Earl Campbell not close to Marcus Allen LMAO

It wasn't just earl Campbell... but you did see how I actually used a stat(not saying AV is perfect since I am sure it is subjective like WAR is to baseball)... But like I have said many times, I don't trust the eye test, and stats in football are not very individual based... so I saw AV and went with it... I am not sure yet if I like AV... But it does do a good job at showing how elite a player was and how often(which is how I used it)...

also I did not say that Campbell is not close to Allen, I said my running game which includes Priest holmes... Is much better... Than Campbell with Taylor... Priest Holmes was disgustingly good too...

I do like your RB's more overall, but Taylor never gets his due. He was a stud

If you look at my analysis, Fred taylor is actually better than Campbell.. What I didn't like about nos' running backs is that he had two power backs, no change of pace. And neither were very scary at receiving...

It doesn't matter if you use AV, JAWS, WAR, Goals per minute, plus/minus or paper rock scissors....
Prime Earl vs Marcus Allen isn't close, but it's Earl that was superior. For a baseball analogy, it's Mantle vs Rose. Rose had more hits, more .300 seasons, etc, but Mantle was on a different level
