Because I find it funny that the guy who designed the stadium, the guy who recorded the noise level at the stadium, and a guy from Penn State who specializes in structural acoustics, all same the same thing. That the design of the stadium boosts the noise levels higher from the fans on to the field, yet your main argument against all these people is that you have been to a game before.

You see how crazy that sounds?

Your wrong about what I'm saying . What I'm saying is that what ever happy design accident happened at the Clink, IMO could be apply to other stadiums. You want to believe the noise level at the Clink is because of some kind of break out design...fine. I just don't believe that crap. I've got to call it a night, talk to you all tomorrow.

REALLY? The architect of Seattle was some genius and we should thank him?

He put a ****ING ROOF over the sideline seats. DUH, of course it's going to reflect some noise. Why every other stadium design is stupid enough to leave it open air so it dumps rain and snow on their fanbase is beyond me. Oh, and there are a lot of other stadiums that mirror Seattle and makes it even louder... they're called domes. They all just belong to s*** fanbases.

it is actually true. It was designed to make the fan noise louder. In fact it was even complained about even before the stadium was done. But of course that just fell on deaf ears :laugh3:

The happy accident is how well it worked. Better than what they were expecting, but make no mistake it was built to make the fan noise better.

Yes I realize you guys were missing players as well. I'm not so sure the guys playing in their place aren't just as good. The defense looks better than last years. Of course you played us at home and an anemic Carolina offense on the road. It's early man, calm down a little. I'm sure you're excited but it's 2 games in. The season has just begun.
You're not so sure Paul McQuistan, who was playing LT for the first time in his career, O'Brien Schofield, and Walter Thurmond III aren't just as good as Russell Okung, Chris Clemons, and Brandon Browner? :wtf2:

Seriously dude, just stop arguing things here.

Since when did Paul McGuistan play defense? It was an exaggeration and you're a little late to the conversation to attempt to admonish me about football. We lost Ian Williams in the game so losing Okung isn't going to break my heart. Thanks to Williams going down Lynch was finally able to start running the football.

You guys are also without Harvin if I remember correctly.

I'm sorry that my sarcasm was lost on you. Next time PM me and I'll write it out like I would for my 4 year old.

Calm down how? All I did was answer the question at hand and said what type of team it would take to beat Seattle at home. I still don't know they can go over .500 on the road given the subpar performances of the offense in both games so far. Maybe you confuse me with someone else, but I'm seldom delusional.

All I said is what type of game it would take to beat them at home. Chill out.

If the Seahawks play on the road in the playoffs what kind of team could beat them...

The lions, dolphins, and cardinals come to mind. :laugh3:

I never even said the Seahawks were unbeatable at home in the playoffs. All I did was offer what my opinion was as to what type of game it would have to be to get a win in that stadium. Seattle lost at Atlanta in last years playoffs so I doubt anyone would be saying they can't lose on the road this year.

Your team? Better hope they get HFA throughout if that last game was any indication of how they are going to play away from the stick.

With Okung probably out for the rest of the year Seattle has their own injuries to worry about, but neither team is likely done with new ones and they have a way of changing things for favored teams down the stretch. No one knows what will happen.

I was at the Clink last year for the Packer game while in town visiting my daughter. I took her and her boy friend to the game. I myself have been to over 1/2 of the stadiums in the NFL. In the noisy ones like the Vikes and KC to quieter ones as well. I go to many games in Green Bay each year and well.

With all the talk about how loud it is in that stadium as a visitor one takes notice to see just how loud it may be and just how much louder is it than in other stadiums. For that game I could not sit there and say wow this is so much louder than other stadiums. Maybe we should get the meter to record noise levels in all the stadiums to see just how different it is. Games at Lambeau Field are quite loud and it has been ranked as one of the louder stadiums giving a good home field advantage. This year will be louder at Lambeau with 7000 more seats added and the big thing is it is now fully enclosed to the noise cant get out the south endzone like it use to.

What surprised me the most though being at the clink was once the Packers took the lead at 12 - 7 in 4th quarter was you could see the fans leaving filling up the aisles walking down the stands so they could get a head start on the way home. This can be verified by watching the game when the camera scans the stands.

You can also hear the Packer fans cheering "Kuhnnnnnnnnnnnnnn" quite loudly while watching the TV game. I did DVR it so I could watch it later once I was back home.

What you have to realize is that the design of the stadium reflects the sound back to the field. So its typically ten times louder on the field than it is in the stands. supposedly the closer you are to the field in the stands, the louder it gets.

Sorry but i am not buying it,,plus i can throw up the youtube of that game,,,CenturyLink Field has actually earned the name of the Nfl's loudest stadium by having a decibel average of 112 per play while the Seahawks are on defense.

I'm not buying it either. Especially people leaving early. Maybe some walked to the bottom of the stairs to watch the last drive from the concourse because those stairs do get very backed up when the game is over, but they weren't leaving. But if it makes someone feel better to say that our fans were leaving the stadium down 5 with the ball, go right ahead.

Yeah, I'm calling BS on the fans leaving the stadium that early. Maybe before the last play some were heading out, but in a 1 score game, there was no mass exodus to be found.

Remind me again when the topic of this thread was about the Seahawks playing on the road.

Another example of Stupors changing the topic to try to talk shit. Try to keep up, bud.

Seahawks last 5 road games:

4-1 with the only loss a 2 point game to Atlanta. The average margin of victory was over 10 point per game.

Give it up already Stuporbreak! Every one of your narrow-minded little hater rants fails.

10x is an obscenely over exaggerated response. The sound that is reflected back is just the sound that would have otherwise risen out of other open air stadiums. That sound is a fraction of the overall available. The sound source is already pointing at the field of play. No one is turning around to shout into the roof. We are not even talking about a 1x amplification, but really a fractional increase.
