The Slay release is not terribly surprising. He is 34 and while still decent, has been missing time and showing signs of slowing down. I suspect he either retires or signs with a contender like Detroit or Philly for one more season.

Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs had surgery Thursday on his left knee and the recovery could keep him out of parts of training camp if not longer, sources told ESPN's Todd Archer.
