I'm sure you heard by now, they pegged Pederson for the job. But they backed into him, kind of like we backed in to Zorn.

Yep... should be interesting.

Anyone give any thought to what'll happen to the Eagles? Pederson wasn't their first choice as HC; while he's not a bad one, he was way down their pecking order in terms of coaching preference. With Pederson on board, I doubt he'd want to sign Bradford for what Bradford would be asking for. (And if Pat Shurmur isn't kept on as o-coor, Bradford assuredly won't want to come back.) That would leave the Eagles with either Butt Fumble, a young QB or someone else they get from the scrap heap. In addition, their o-line is in shambles and they've got to make some decisions on some guys defensively (e.g., Vinny Curry, Cedric Thornton). Whatever happens, it really does look like the Eagles are a sinking ship and may very well finish last unless they draft really well, somehow find a QB worth a darn, get lucky in FA, and hope that some of their FA busts from last year turn things around.

ESPN ranks Doug Pederson as NFL's worst coaching hire

ESPN ranks Doug Pederson hire by Philly as worst coaching hire this year. They postulate, and I think correctly so, that he was their backup-backup plan. And they like his "gosh" comments in his presser to a Muskie Moment. Classic. No, those aren't tears, just the driving melting snowflakes from that driving snowstorm blowing your way. The guy sounds a lot like Zorn did. Wonder if he'll turn out the same way?

UPDATE: Here’s Josh Innes Calling Jason Kelce a “House *****”…

Wow, get a load of this. WIP talk show host Josh Innes refers to Eagles center Jason Kelce as a house *****. Kelce is white, but I agree with Innes that Kelce is a huge kiss ass and Eagles apologist.

Does this mean that the next time Romo lands on his shoulder it will bend but not break?

Apparently he is going for the Wolverine option and having his shoulder infused with adamantium in hopes to actually survive a season without going on IR going forward.

I'd be OK with that, and I'd feel sorry for the guy who tries to tackle him.
