I believe they have taken over as the favorite to win the East. I have:

Philly
Dallas
WSH
NYG

I think Philly and Dallas make the playoffs. The Dallas offense is incredible and their defense is quite good as well. I like everything the Eagles did to build their team and wish we had the same zest for getting better.

There again, I hope the Eagles fall on their face and come in last in the division.

Kirk has not been good on a Monday night as usual but Vikings did drop a walk in touchdown when the game was still in doubt.

This is just depressing. We have to sit him even when he comes back to not jeopardize that 2nd rounder. If he is out 6 weeks, that might be enough to do it I think. There is simply no need to rush him back as we know what we get with him.

next we would need 6 wince started wins to reach 8 wins or one game better then what Falco got last year

now the next question does that justify swapping last yrs 2nd rounder for a lower 2nd in that draft , giving up last years 3rd , then giving up this yrs 3d (at best ) or this yrs 2nd ( at worst ) to get 1 fucking more win?

we will see what Falco has with a healthy Samuel , a true number 2 guy in Dotson , and a banger RB in BR and a better TE group then he had last year

I am beginning to think this is how this all went down

-Rivera knew the record from 2021 was unacceptable and communicated this with Dan during the offseason.
-Dan mentioned Wentz and strongly encouraged a move for him OR simply claimed Wentz was the QB "we needed".
-Rivera made up a bunch of crap about doing a league-wide search when he had an agreement with Dan that Wentz was the target. Inquiries were made as a type of smokescreen to show the fans that the front office cared about winning.
-Rivera called the Colts and panicked when they asked for a decent return. He gave up too much for Wentz and did not do any type of research in gauging the general market for him. As such, he grossly overpaid and bid against himself.
-Rivera then weakened the OLine and DLine, ignored the LB and secondary units, and screwed up the offseason because he deceived himself into believing Wentz was all the team really needed to win. He also made no changes to the coaching staff including position coaches.
- Knowing the history of Wentz and his struggles, Rivera drafted Howell with the idea that he would possibly be the next QB if Wentz falters.
- Knowing that the team should be 0-5, Rivera blurted out"Quarterback" when asked about the team's shortcomings with the NFC East.
-Wentz is now out 4-6 with an injury, as such, Rivera will now see how the team performs under TH and or Howell.
