This may be the strangest coincidence in the history of the NFL.

Two years ago, the Dallas Cowboys met the New York Giants in Week 17. The divisional title and a playoff berth went to the winner.

Last year, the Dallas Cowboys played the Washington Redskins in Week 17. The divisional title and a playoff berth went to the winner.

This year, the Dallas Cowboys will play the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 17. Yep. You guessed it. The winner of this game wins the division and goes to the playoffs.

i think it has more to do with a lot of mediocrity in this division over the past few years.

lol that is crazy.

With the heightened stakes on the game it sure makes watching two mediocre teams exciting!

Anybody have any doubt that Romo will do something Romoesq to lose the game?

Funny thing is the one time in recent history Dallas won in week 17, made the playoffs, then won a playoff game, was in 2009. Each win came against the Eagles.
