3. I was referring to his sig, which just completely baffles me how someone can call out pronger (the man responsible for us being here in the first place) after one bad game.

phill you know from prior experience that i've called him out after every bad game he's played this season

and i dont think he's the only reason the flyers are where they are.. you of all ppl should understand that being a huge briere fan (i assume).. he's been more valuable in the playoffs than pronger has.. leading the team in goals AND assists and yet ppl are saying pronger might win the conn smythe win or lose the cup.. thats a joke.. he shouldn't even win it if the flyers win (briere should)..

also timmonen could've done just as good of a job shutting down the top lines we've played thus far (19th, 26th, and 30th in offense) and he could've handled kovalchuk with similar ease (he abused ovechkin 2 years ago and ovechkin is better than kovalchuk)

offensively he's not overrated, nor is his leadership, but his defensive skills are overrated.. he's taken a dramatic decline in that department this season and i think matt carle's progression, while still not the main reason that was a good pair, has a lot to do with the fact it is one of the better pairs in the league

it annoys me that pronger gets all the credit for the flyers being solid on defense.. timonen is an all-star d-man and carle has been playing all-star caliber hockey.. even coburn has stepped up these playoffs after a sub-par reg. season

posts that say he's the reason the flyers are where they are, that he should win the conn smythe win or lose, and/or he was a huge norris trophy snub, are the reason i make these posts or have these signatures.. its not cause he's bad, its cause he gets all the credit on a team that has much more talent than just chris pronger


everyone gets so touchy when someone questions pronger's skills.. what happened to philly people having tough skin?.. christ the way we talk about crosby and co. would make you guys cry if it was about pronger (the plural because we're approaching 60 replies on the espn board on the topic)

The reason people dont talk about pronger is because he does not deserve the criticism. Yes, he had a bad game. But look at how he has shut down Byfuglien (had to look up spelling). The guy was a machine all playoffs and finally scores his first goal, when pronger is in the box. Pronger has been inside their best players' heads all series.

He doesnt make it flashy but he gets the job done. He is hands down our best player and we would have been playing golf months ago if it werent for him. To criticize him for his rare poor performances is ludacris.

Just look at his former teams the following season after he leaves. It isn't pretty. That is how valuable he is to his teams.
