We have Tepesch going against Fister tomorrow. Hope Tep can keep us in it, Fister usually gave us trouble if I recall.

Need to get to their starters because their bullpen is real tough. Gonna take good pitching from Tep too, they can hit

Just realized I will miss most of tomorrow's game. Glad this one is over.
Me too. Helping place flags on veteran graves in the morning in hometown cemetery.

Much more worthy than watching this game. I will just trudge on without ya'.

Struggled pretty much keeping the ball down so far and doesn't seem real comfortable on the mound to me. Not sure what it is

Same thing that's wrong with all of the other pitchers that struggle when we move them back and forth.

I thought Colby was much better than the score would indicate. He seems to get tired still too early in the game though. He was pitching very well until the HR. He seemed to lose whatever confidence he had after that.

I really hate these interleague games mixed in. They always seem to bring us down. Who remembers COL, or did you all try to forget that one?

We needed 2 out of 3 with Oakland playing ANA

Garrett Richards was pulled in the 1st after facing 10 batters and giving up 5 runs including a GS to Moss. He left for Wade Leblanc w the bases loaded

Yeah I was really interested to watch that game when our game was 2-0. However, I quickly started losing interest in watching any more baseball tonight. Richards is still very inconsistent, but the talent is there. I saw the GS and knew that one was over already. Pomeranz has been untouchable.

Where is the power in this line-up? Our lead-off hitter leads the team w/ 6 a third of the way through the season. That is absolutely pathetic. Our 1B has 2. We might not have one person hit 20 HR's this year.

At least the Yankees, BAL, and the Angels are all going to lose. We don't lose any ground to the teams at the top of the wild card

I'm trying to focus on our team for the first 100 games. I quit tracking Oakland because it just depresses me. They usually hit a fluky home run in the 8th or 9th inning and win the game that way. I said 1 out of 3 in Washington because of how the road trip has gone so far. Win 1 game and you go 7-4. The team should be satisfied with that. Get swept? Go 6-5.... And the road trip ends up being a shitty one. Big difference.

Fielder was not showing much power and now we know the fact he had no strength in his left arm had a lot to do with that, aside from him though and some thump from Beltre I didn't expect much power from this team. The real power bat from last year, which was the last one really left on the team before Fielder was added didn't accept the QO and was let walk and he has 3 times as many HR's as the guy w the most HR's on this team. Moreland may start to hit a few more HR's as the temperature heats up but thats about it. The team has changed and is no longer going to sniff the almost 200 HR teams from a few years back. Unfortunately

I said something to that extent and got called an idiot for it. We are suffering a power outage. We pretty much lost Hamilton, Young, Napoli, Cruz, and Kinsler over the last few seasons and all we've replaced that with is Fielder and Choo. What do you expect to happen? The guy making projections in the rangers front office in regard to the lineup should be shot. This lineup isn't very good.

Why are you concerned with the wildcard standings... it's not even June? I can tell ya right now that come crunch time the wild card standings are likely to look way different than they do now. Its likely we will even have some teams in the mix you wouldn't even expect at this point. I honestly really don't even start paying too much attention to the standings till around 3 quarters of the way in and even then huge changes can happen. I guess all I am saying is if you are already looking now... expect to be riding a roller coaster for a few months and get torn in a lot of directions.

Despite all the injuries they are actually still pretty good... they just don't have the power we are used to seeing. They manufacturer runs a little differently, that's all. I miss Cruz just as much- likely more- but Rios has actually been really good as has Choo. As huge of a Cruz fan I am... you keep him on this team and he produces the same kind of numbers he has then take our Rios Choo or Moreland in his place and it's likely only a win or 2 difference. Reason being is all the pitching injuries and the amount of runs we give up. We may have the most shutouts in the MLB but we also have the 5th worst team ERA. Baltimore has a similar problem.... even better offense but worse pitching.

And you quote being called an idiot and then make an idiotic statement to prove their point. :L

MY in his last 3 years in baseball hit a total of 27 HR, and Hamilton had 21 last year, to go with 2 this season. That's some kind of power to be losing there ace.

DMN:

RHP Colby Lewis has not qualified for a quality start in any of his nine starts this season. Lewis has made it through the sixth inning just once. … After allowing nine hits in 5.2 innings, Lewis’ opponents’ batting average actually rose from .337 to .340. … LHP Robbie Ross left the only runner he inherited in the sixth stranded. Since moving back to the bullpen, he’s stranded all four runners he has inherited. … Washington hitters were 6-for-13 off Ross.

After 3B Adrian Beltre led off the second with a double, RF Alex Rios and C Chris Gimenez followed with consecutive strikeouts. … After C Chris Gimenez doubled to start the fourth, CF Leonys Martin popped out and the Rangers failed to get the runner home. … With two on and one out in the sixth, Martin struck out and Rougned Odor popped out.
