I have been to Oakland, and I Live in NY now, I believe Oakland fans are worst but just barely. I was at a McDonalds, and I was wearing my 49ers coaching polo and this crazy ass guy came up to me and tried to fight me because of it. I laughed at him, I am 6'2'' 450 lbs and this guy was 5'5'' and a buck fifty. Its pretty funny how stupid people can get

Only been to Oakland once but I am a raiders fan so I and it wasn't a game against a rival so I may gave hit a different atmosphere.However body of work as far as philly goes you have the flyers fans who threw a stink bomb on the ice during a flyers devils game , purposely throwing up on a little girl who was wearing a opposing teams jersey , seriously beat a rangers fan during the winter classic and are altogether terrible anytime I have encountered them.I'm sure you know what eagles fans have done as well as phillies fans.I think there is good reason philly is consistantly considered the worst fans in sports I could write a book on violent or questionable situations involving philly fans.

only have a SMALL sample base (all sports, all cities, all visting fans) but allow me 2 cents anyway. Eagle fans are FAR worse than any fans i've seen, granted haven't been to a NY or Boston venue.

was surprised.....ok shocked.....the Raider fans weren't bad at all.

for 'best' fans - actually best people in general - think its Seattle? want to say SF too, but did see a few fans being "rowdy". i'm sure every fan base has its 'eggs', thats just society.

Love the attitude from the Giants. It'll be that much nicer to shut them up. I love all the talk about hot the Giants are. The Saints were the hottest team in the league coming into Candlestick. They went home with their tails between their legs.

I'm reminded of Ditka's proclamation when his Bears came out to San Francisco for the 1984 NFC Championship game. After hearing that the 49ers were 3 and a half point favorites he exclaimed "the German army couldn't beat us with 3 and a half points". The Niners won the game 23 to nothing. Poor Mike's Bears didn't even get 3 and a half points.

I played Minor League Football for 5 years and I have tried out for 4 different arena and UFL teams. But I would have loved to play even Practice Squad.

No kidding, I saw several Saints fan saying that the only reason the Niners were in the playoffs is becuase they were in the NFC west and that the Niners had not beaten any playoff teams.

I would say:

Boston fans are the most uppity.
Oakland fans are the most dangerous.
Philly fans are the most obnoxious.
NY fans are a mix between being uppity and obnoxious but not on the level of Boston or on the level of Philly.

For the record I say that in general because there are plenty of classy and knowledgeable fans in every fanbase.

As far as the trash talking is concerned it's more of a media creation than anything else. You're one win away from the Super Bowl so at this point you really shouldn't need any sort of motivation to go out there and leave it all on the field nor do you care what the other team thinks or say.

Yea i used to go there, but just hate the format completely. There a quite a few good posters there but still some morons who complain about every little thing. Havent been there in a while, might have to stop by. Yes dump was quite annoying.
