I don't know everybody's track record and feelings on Akers but I'm as difficult on him as anybody that I know, but I can't find myself coming down on him too hard for that last one. There hasn't been that many successful kicks from that distance in Candlestick's history. Maybe he should get a bigger piece of blame pie than another kicker would get just because he's made some of the harder kicks there and it's his home stadium, but I still can't find myself coming down too hard on him for that last miss. The previous one is easier to pin on him until I hear if anything outside of his control happened.

I don't like it on 3rd and 5 near the redzone, but I don't mind a few plays during the course of the game.

The reason I wonder is Kap was on the field earlier and there was a false start on Goodwin. I wonder if the Manningham play was gonna be ran then and due the penalty it was called off at that time.
