Be more specific please.

I've never had less optimism for theLions, so, I take every "negative" post as intended towards myself. (I've always been self centered and egotistic, nothing new there.).

We're fans of the NFLs version of TheClippers, there's going to be some anxt.

That applies to all of us. We're all frustrated by the product put in front of us for the last... oh lets say 15 years or so.

Rob has been a trolling fool, and ignoring him takes actual effort. Sometimes I might need to vent here and there, but be assured it's not pointed in your direction. I got no beef with you.

I wish I could get up to your level of enthusiasm. It's going to be worse than you think. It's going to be Joe Dumars and Darko all over again. The Lions will win in spite of Mayhew's most crappy first round pick ever. Then, the Ford's will feel like he's better than he is, keeping him on to drive this team back to 'bag o dick' status in a couple of short years. Here's why.

Coaching staff - better
QB play - better
OL play - wash
RB play - wash
WR play - better
DL play - better
LB play - wash
DB play - wash

With 4 units getting better, and 4 units staying about the same (my opinions), this team is set to succeed. But since Mayhew has already planted the seeds of destruction, it will be a one year improvement.

So actually, we're fans of the NFL's version of the Pistons.

Don't insult the Pistons like that. They have multiple NBA championships and for a couple year stretch, they were the best team in basketball. Unfortunately for us -- The Lions have never had that type of success in the Super Bowl era.

Calling us the NFL's version of the Clippers is spot on.

Dealing with a particular poster's recent non-stop trolling efforts gets exhausting after a while. My bad if I needed to vent. Didn't realize you'd take such offense at something that wasn't directed at you at all...

You're such a weak little bitch. Not slurping up Mayhew's garbage isn't trolling, Come up with something new, you sad little victim.

I'm not sure the coaching is better. Could be dull as fuck before we know it.

Let's not insult the Pistons, who've won numerous championships.

We're more like Washington General fans.

I was going to put 'minus the championship of course' in the reason for editing box, but I must have hit submit at the 5 minute 1 second mark. That happens sometimes when you're still using Windows98.

I've been to several Pistons playoff victories. Can e'rybody remember where they were last time the Lions won a playoff game? (Ebron and Van Noy would have a hard time answering this question.)

I don't agree with you better assessment Thruth. Sorry. Don't see most of those, yet. (The underhand completion was nice. But Im gonna need a behind the back before I think he's turned any corner.)

I agree with Rob more often than I don't, on this board. Unless we're tallinbough Tom Brady or Stephen Jackson or suthing like that. Then I'll rant.

I really believe drafting Darko resulted in the Stones winning the title because Sheed was the missing link, and had Darko panned out, probably don't get Sheed.

'Better' only means better than last year. Not saying Matt has turned any corner. Only that the probability of having a better season than last year is high in my opinion.

Any truth to the rumor that Schwartz had all the crotches customized in his new snow suits?

How dare you try to take this thread off topic.

I agree pretty close with most of this. I will take a crack at it though.

Coaching staff - much better (in more ways then I can describe)
QB play - slightly worse (Dan O is no Shaun Hill)
OL play - slightly worse (RTs look worse)
RB play - better (Bell a beast, Riddick improved)
WR play - much better (Tate added, Others improved)
DL play - better (DEs are all better)
LB play - slightly better (Van Noy added+Whitehead improved)
DB play - slightly better (No Houston getting toasted or Delmas flopping around. Digs much better)

The Pistons playoff games were a blast. My group of friends were on TV a bunch of times. We all had on Ben Wallace jerseys and monster Afro's -- we also had a huge sign we hung up (can't remember what it said), but they made us remove it because it was blocking a sponsors sign. We had 1st row seats in the 2nd level right at center court.

Are we talking about the 2% of his posts that actually concern football, or the 98% of them that are simply created in hopes that someone will get pissed off and reply?

Not singling you out Old Lion, i just used your comments to quote as you posted last. IMO -- we have no idea if we are better or worse, as we have watched only a few quarters of preseason play.

About the only spot we could say absolutely improved is WR, as they brought in a proven commodity to take over the #2 role in Golden Tate.

OL -- they should be improved, as they had a year to gel together, but they are running a new offense, so who knows how that will help or hurt them.

RB -- I guess I'm not sold on Riddick as everyone here is. Personally, I don't see him playing much at all unless Bush or Bell get injured. So to me -- the RB are a wash, but with the potential to be a huge upgrade if they can hold onto the ball.

I have more to say, but my little guy just woke up so i will finish later.

I dunno. Just more often than not, mostly. Almost every post I have on here is intended for replies. Aside from when it's "Fuck!", (shit, ass, bitch, cvnt, schoobiddy do wop...)

I enjoy being amused and informed. I'll take both at the same time when I can get it.

I actually agree with you here. I usually go out of my way to not overstate shit.
QB play - slightly worse (Dan O is no Shaun Hill)
I'll stick to my guns here. Even if Staff gets hurt, I can't see Dan playing a lot worse than he did last year.
OL play - slightly worse (RTs look worse)
I had trouble here. On one hand, the Lions aren't exactly deep and might not have the lack of injuries they had last year. On the other hand, they're a young group working together for a 2nd year. One would expect improvement.
RB play - better (Bell a beast, Riddick improved)
I probably should have put better here, hoping for better ball security. Not sure we'll get it.
WR play - much better (Tate added, Others improved)
I may have understated this one as well. I never even thought of the number of holding penalties Calvin will generate.
DL play - better (DEs are all better)
Yes. Two talented DEs coming into their 2nd year in the league. Not to mention two pretty fair DTs in a contract year.
LB play - slightly better (Van Noy added+Whitehead improved)
I hope you're right.
DB play - slightly better (No Houston getting toasted or Delmas flopping around. Digs much better)
I wanted to say better, but was afraid I might start a riot.
