Nobody is really even warm at the moment, couple guys need to get hot. Maybe Choo can get hot and it will trickle down. Beltre is not swinging the bat like he can, EA cooled, MM Roogie and the rest aren't really going either. Hope they pick it up for the Stros series
Choo should help. Beltre had guys in scoring position his 1st three times up. We are hitting in the 240's since the break. But if our pitching continues to right itself we will be okay.

I think Roog and Mitch are consistently warm right now. Desmond is ice cold and Beltre has the chills.

Desmond is a streaky hitter. Just hope he gets it going again before long.

Astros had zero offense in that series. Their win was 2-1 in 14 innings.

They've lost 8 of 10 games to fall 6 1/2 behind Rangers. They've scored 7 runs in last 6 games.

Jake Thompson was promoted to the bigs and will pitch this weekend for the Phils.

Des had 2 RBI tonight. Even cold he got the job done.

That seems way too early for him...cmon Phils don't break him.

He's 22, in AAA he had 21 starts this year with a 2.50 ERA and 1.09 WHIP and has averaged over 6 innings per start, including a 1.21 ERA over his last 11 starts, he seems pretty ready to me

Hopefully he has some success but most of all hopefully he learns what he needs to do at the next level, he'll probably be up there the rest of the season as Aaron Nola sprained his elbow, only issue to monitor is his innings, he did 129 2 years ago, 132 last year and is at 129 right now, not sure how much more they ramp him up to, I would imagine not much more than 160 though

Phillies might have a pretty quick turn around, a lot of young guys are panning out for them

Looks that way unless he is working on his pitches instead of trying to get hitters out.

Regardless if he's working on pitches or not. His results are what will get him back up or gone.
