Well, in fairness, while the Niners didn't invest big draft capital in their off ball LBs, they did invest monetarily in them. Sure they found Warner in rd 3 and Greenlaw in rd 5, but the team was willing to resign both of them--that IS an investment in the position.
They only get about 3 years for major progress now and it’s rinse repeat. Dan Campbell is showing how you can do it if you’re careful and pick carefully on a great turnaround in Detroit.
joe gibbs won the sb his 2nd yearI think next year will be phase 1 of the new Washington team. I would not be expecting playoffs.

I was thinking earlier today that George Allen had one of the fastest turnaround of all time. Those were the days when you could trade and sure as shit George rebuilt the team by trading. It can't be done that way anymore but sure as hell he brought is some players and characters. It was a fun time.
they had a decent run with whiskey, but sunny would have gone furtherI am aware of that, I have been a fan since 1964.
George turned the team into a winner in his first year 9-4-1
In his second year he took the team to the Super Bowl and Sonny and I believe Washington wins that SB if not for his torn Achilles.
Leave no stone unturned....dang man..
It's been 24 years since we have seen anything like this.Leave no stone unturned....dang man..
