I am not sure who is saying magic will be the GM? I am certainly not.

I agree...he shouldn't be the GM at all. I am simply stating how well he has done as a minority owner with the dodgers. Those results speak for themselves.

I was responding to Magic having a say so in picking the GM. I was just responding to you that I want Magic no where near football ops based on his time with the Lakers. I stand by my original statement that Magic should be the deal closer and not choosing or being a GM.

We do differ on the opinion on magic helping decide who the new president or GM should be as Andrew Friedman is the best president/GM in MLB right now.

Seems to be night and day difference almost in his tenure with the Lakers and dodgers. Weird right???

And i admit, i dont know much about the Dodgers, so I'll take your word for it. I just remember Magic being the coach of the Lakers and he was miserable and pulled the parachute early. Didn't enjoy watching film or putting in the hours. Fair point though.

My guess is he was too hands on with the Lakers and didn't have the skill and patience to be successful.

My guess is that he is one of the voices in the ownership group with the dodgers and is clearly NOT as hands on. He probably gives his insights and that is it on that front. He is more the PR and hype guy for the dodgers.

i agree wholeheartedly,but i don,t want him ivolved in any way picking the new coach or gm.he can determine the salaries,just not help in picking the people.

Almost like a corporate recruiter?

They sell you on the possibility of working for the company and then pass you off to the hiring manager for the business portion.

I think their is some confusion regarding minority owners. They are in it to make money the buck stops with Josh Harris the majority owner. There are a couple of minority owners that work with Harris on his other teams and if I was a betting man I would say he seeks their counsel but ultimately he is the boss.
