A bowl game being CANCELLED???

The Boise State-Boston College First Responder Bowl was canceled at about 2:20 p.m. Central (1:20 p.m. Mountain) because of lightning. The game had been delayed for 1 hour, 21 minutes because of lightning and the weather was expected to be bad most of the day.

The game is officially a “no contest.” Which means none of the stats from the 10 minutes that the game was played will count.

This bowl game was in it's very first year and it was already on shaky ground as the Dallas City Council very narrowly approved subsidizing this bowl game. I'm thinking this may very well be the first AND the LAST of this bowl game.

It's disturbing that the people in charge of this bowl game KNEW...................well ahead of time..............that there would be severe weather in that area that day. They EASILY could have changed the venue to an indoor stadium in the Dallas area and avoided this entirely.
