This "fun time" we're having could have had some really serious and long term negative repercussions.

Think about this: What if Joey had landed his left hand to Odors face the same way Odor did to him? First, it would've rocked Odor just like it did too Bautista.

But more importantly, here Mr Joey would have been with at least 3 if not 5 Rangers ready/willing to rain blows down on him. This could have gotten ugly and out-of-hand and not been good for any individual players, much less the organizations involved.

Probably my last sobering observation of the evening.

Id say it worked out just find the way it all unraveled. Nobody seriously hurt is always best

Sincerely, this has nothing to do with the Jays or Captain Bautista either. But I've long been an entrenched believer of "it's better to let a player go a year too early vs a year too late."

And frankly, he has been underpaid. But tough shit. It's happened too many a player, the likes of which this Nancy-Boy can't wear their socks.

So, if I'm the Jays, it's thanks and good luck in getting the $50 mil (whatever) from someone. It just won't be me. But I appreciate the memories.......well, some of em anyway.
