Would you agree that 1-4 indicate that you are pinning the loss on that one play? If not, what would you call it.

No....cause they had chances to win the game after that play. I just said he catched the ball and it's ball game. Am I wrong about that?

what is so hard for you to understand beside having butt hurt feeling cause someone bashed your boy?

Sir....I don't care for Cruz cause he's got a two cent head. Year after year he swings for the hills, slumps and has to go back to driving the ball to right center. Then it gets corrected and he falls back to yanking the ball. He kills mistake pitches, but is an out when pitchers hit their spots. 0-2 kills this guy and he allows it swinging at low and away, time AFTER TIME.

I CHEER FOR THE TEAM. Call um as I see um.
You boys should get the board police after the Murphy bashers and check their fan cards. Maybe it's just what this board click allows

I should note that many of these people agreeing with me... have disagreed with me often so there really isn't any sort of click... they just happen to agree. Sometimes you opinion is in the majority, others in the minority... thats life.

I think that is pretty plain Rev. Possibly he doesn't have the guts to say " You got me, I'm wrong"

My take.

Well, of course it was heartbreaking in the end, but it's never diminished the GREAT memories of those two fantastic runs, it truly hasn't. Maybe I'm wrong, but the good memories far outweigh the bad.

We'll get one, who knows when...but we will.
And how much sweeter it will ultimately be....because of that Series.

Looking to the future, that's what it's all about.

I was thinking the same thing. I've disagreed with everyone at some point. That's pretty much the name of the game.

Sure, if he catches the ball its game, but if Feliz strikes him out, that's game, if they were up by 3 more runs, thats game, you can play the if game all day... does that make sense? I'm not really butt hurt about it, it just seems silly and short sided to me that people have this opinion.

You're more than welcome to dislike, or not be a fan of Cruz, just the reason for which you stated originally, didn't make the play in the WS, now what you listed above seems to make much more sense

And I don't think anyone is questioning whether you are a fan of the Rangers, at least I never read anyone say that

So bringing up the "fan card" seems a little out of line, but then again that's just my opinion

Just want to remind everybody he is a great big reason why they were in that World Series to begin with. He was the MVP of the ALCS against Detroit.

Yes there is that. We love a very unforgiving sport.

I think he originally brought that up, because a question I asked him. He said he was no fan of Cruz, so I asked him point blank who he was a fan of, and he shot back with "the rangers." I surely at no point implied he wasn't a fan of the rangers, so no clue where he's going now.

you could avoid the posts, but whats the fun in that when you're walking so tall?

1. he catches the ball it's ballgame
2. The moment was to big for a couple of player. Cruz the most IMO
3. The ball was very catchable IF he played it off the bat correctly
4. Meltdowns in extra innings but Cruz coulda ended it with a catchable ball

you boys should get out some. It's a shared opinion outside this circle jerk you boys have going

There were several miscues throughout that game and in the series for the Rangers. Top to bottom. I would agree the Cruz catch was a "key moment in time/space" that led to further miscues to happen. We had another opportunity to win that game after Josh countered the Cruz missed catch. It happens, it's baseball and you move on. Hard to pin the blame on one person, one game etc. We should have come back the next day and won game 7. Heck we could blame Ron Washington for not managing a victory in the 2011 ASG thus giving the NL a homefield advantage in the series. But that would be crazy talk.

It took MANY MANY years for the Red Sox fans to forgive Buckner for that 1986 Game 6 WS error. Same thing, the Mets came back in Game 7 to win it. I think it took the 2004 WS victory for the Boston fans to forgive Buckner. And they had to wait 18 years!

I didn't say it was all Cruz....just that his play woulda ended the game.

and yes....to me, the biggest choke among many

How many Cowboys fans still blame Romo for being snapped a slippery ball in Seattle? Sadly a lot of them do, because they cannot see anything past the end of their nose.

Hell, I am no longer a Hambone fan, but I will never forget that homer with a torn Adductor muscle.

I know, the rafters of my house were coming down after that homer. Felt pretty good and then...

I for one would like to end this topic. It is like tearing up old scar tissue:)

On Hambone...Well I might be in the minority here. I will never boo him. He did too much for us in the years he was with us. I respect that and wish him well. I am a bit sore he signed with the enemy. I think if he signed with any team but Angels or A's, the cheers would be heard in the stadium for him today.

I think the point of contention is that many don't see it as a choke, as b/c of the way he was previously positioned, he really never had a chance at the ball

I think that pretty much ends my thoughts on the subject

Was it "catchable"? Sure. Was it routine? No. Should have Endy Chavez been in the bottom 9th as a defensive substitution? Would have been nice but who says he catches the ball.

LOL, please don't tear up more scars. There are several Romo scars on Boys fans.
