Hey everyone. I am looking to get a couple tickets to the Skins Sunday night home game vs. the Packers (Sunday before Thanksgiving). I am taking my uncle (my wife's uncle), he has been a HUUUUGE Packers fan all of his life, never been to a pro game, much less the Pack. He is not in great health, so hopefully it should be a fun time and experience for him.

Anyhows, I have only been to a couple games at Fedex, and it has been several years since the last. Anyone have some good advice on where to get tickets at a somewhat reasonable price?? I have browsed on Stubhub and Vividseats and they look about the same. Looking at Club 100 or 300 level seats, probably on the visitors side, they are going for about $190-$250 right now, depending on where you are at.

Anyone have any good advice on good sections for a reasonable price? A good source to buy tickets? I don't really want to wait until the last minute, so I don't mind paying $200 for these seats if that is what it comes down to.

games like the steelers, packers & cowboys are always at a premium because there are so many opposing teams fans trying to get in.

I normally use stub hub ... but the best bet, if its an option, is to know someone who is a season ticket holder, or whose company/government agency is a ticket holder & not planning on using their tickets that week.

When those two options fail you can always go for a hail marry and hit up the local sports radio stations who give out tickets every week during their contests & i also would not be surprised if the team also had their own promotions to give out seats.

I have won several tickets to wizards games just from being active with their social media team.

ONly thing i would suggest if the uncle is not in the best of health, And depending on if he can basically hold it for most of the game, avoid end seats (1-5 and 20-25 I think it is. First row or last row would also be a suggestion... less moving parts.

As for where to get tickets, I usually go Vivid, or Stubhub. You are not likely to find a killer deal unless you are willing to roll the dice on obstructed view seats.

Try seatgeek.com. The longer you wait the better the price becomes as the game gets closer. I have sat in section 303 row 16 and it was great. You should get a seat for $200 in that section.

I also know if you get a row 16 in a section or higher you are covered by the upper deck for rain. for the club level.

Great suggestions guys. I really appreciate it.

One other question (probably a stupid one, but I will ask anyways). I imagine they don't let taxis or shuttles through the main gate, correct? I have reservations with a hotel a few miles away. Would like to get out of paying for a parking pass if possible. But I would imagine with taxi fare to and from Fedex, I probably wouldn't save much $$$ huh?

Since I always tailgate IM not sure if there is a stadium drop-off point closer than a mile away. But I will ask a friend that i know usually works the games as he might know. Figure a parking pass will run you $80 or so. SO its really a toss up, if you already have a car rented, it might be more fun to grab a cooler full of Coke's and get to the game early enough to enjoy some Cokes and sandwiches with the tailgate crowd. Just remember, Tailgate responsibly. :suds::suds:

According to this

http://www.redskins.com/fan-zone/ta...skins.com/fan-zone/tailgating/guidelines.html

There is no drop off point at Fedex. So depending on how good you and the family's walking legs are, if you arent going to tail gate, you could take the Subway.

Metrorail Service to FedEx Field

Morgan Boulevard Station on the Silver or Blue Line is the closest station to FedEx Field. The station is nine-tenths of a mile from the stadium and a pedestrian walkway offers direct access to the stadium. The Largo Town Center Metrorail station, also on the Silver or Blue Line, is one mile away from the stadium.

Pulled the trigger yesterday on some tix. They are at the end of the row, Section 323 Club Level A Row 15, Seats 22-23. Right over the tunnel. Looks like 30 yard line-ish. Row 14 only has 19 seats so we are right in a walking path.

My unc probably needs easy access in and out, tried to get as close to the middle as possible without paying 250+ a ticket (damn these games are expensive)!!). May be a little too late now to back up and punt, but after reading a bit, it looks like these may be a little obstructed? There is a rail surrounding the tunnel overhang and there is obviously gonna be some foot traffic at times.

Is the rail very high over the top of these tunnels? I'm not so worried about the foot traffic, I figure we are near the top of the section and if I recall, while the players are running up and down the traffic is fairly minimal? Thoughts? Dropped $200 a piece in these not counting fees). Am I an idiot/Did I get fucked? Are these decent seats?? Looking at some picks.. They look to be pretty decent?

Thanks guys. Don't beat me up too bad...

You did good grasshopper. The price is what it is, and the only way you get those tickets for less is if you wait til the last minute AND we suck at that point in time. The railing shouldnt be an issue as you are far enough up that it shouldnt block your view once the game starts. It might get a little hectic when they are coming out ofthe tunnell, and if they use the big blowup helmet you will probably be staring down the back of it when they come onto the field for the game... but all in all thats not a bad spot to watch the game from.

Where did you buy them from just curious? Did you use seatgeek.com? I just find that the prices drop as the game gets closer. Seatgeek has your same section row 19 for $235 with fees. The good thing about Row 19 is that you are covered if it rains. The bad thing about Row 15 is that you have no coverage from rain and you may have a railing problem or people constantly walking in front of you.

Thanks Shark. That makes me feel a little bit better.

Dean, I paid $240 per ticket (with fees) from NFL ticket exchange (Ticketmaster), so a few bucks more than Sec. 19. I looked at several sites, didn't teally see much difference in any of them, for some reason stubhub was about $15 higher on their fees per ticket. If the rail isn't very high and people aren't walking in front of us every minute, I think we will have a totally unobstructed view most of the game, none will even be sitting in front of us. I'm gonna roll with it. I think/hope we will be OK. If I went back now I am sure I would lose $$$ at this point.

Hopefully it will be a nice November night. I'm expecting it to be cold. Gonna tell my unc when I see him here in a couple weeks. He's gonna shit his pants.

Have fun. I have sat in section 303 before in row 16. There was a rail in front of me that I could see over gut the rail has clear plastic on top of it. This was four years ago so I don't know if anything has changed.

Yeah, I think you are right Dean. I am not going to fret over it too much, If it is that bad we can maybe find a couple of empty seats somewhere in the same section. When I went to the Pats game a few years back, it was surprising how many miscellaneous seats were around.

I did find a few good resources that I would like to share. Should've looked at this stuff before I bought. Maybe Sdad or Cali can post some of these items on the "Resources" sticky thread??

Washington Redskins Virtual Venue™ by IOMEDIA, I nice interactive view from various sections. Cannot choose your exact seat, but you can get close, pan around and get a good idea of your view. You can also view your seats in 2D on Ticketmaster's website. The website is very slow, and the seats/sections aren't numbered, but if you can count, you can probably find your seat.

Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About FedExField, I nice post on extreme-redskins forum concerning some of these "buyer beware" things to look for. Good for folks like me who rarely or have never been to Fedex.
