He's had a pass all season. I've never called for his head. Nor will I until the end of 2016 at the soonest.

Just because I'm skeptical of the hire, who he filled his staff with, and criticize what they're trying to make Tommy be, doesn't mean I don't believe he should be afforded an opportunity to put the pieces together.

I think I'm misunderstood on the issue.

If you truly follow my posts, you'll note that I'm not very critical of Nebraska's defense. The reason is that I believe they have a 'stop the run first' mentality and the pass defense has taken longer to catch up.

It shows up in a lot of stats as well as just watching games. The Husker DE's don't get up-field enough to turn runs inside. They don't get pressure on the QB. LB's don't have fast lateral movement.
Therefore QB's have had a lot of time against DB's and LB's learning an entirely new scheme.

The back 7 need to catch up with the vulnerability of a "stop the run first" priority.

In my opinion, this is the most important week of this season. It didn't have to be, but it is.

This is our chance to build toward an enormous amount of momentum. You come out and win this game one week after you knock of a top 10 team, it shows you're mature and can deal with success. It also sets us up with momentum heading into another matchup with a top 10 team.

Win this game, and suddenly we give ourselves a chance to have one of the more impressive Novembers in all of college football. We could end up going to a decent bowl of we finish 3-0 knocking out 2 playoff contenders.

It's a must win. MUST win for the future. Next year could be completely different based on the outcome of these final games.

They're Iowa fans. The one just said, "the only way nebraska beats Iowa is if Iowa benches all of their starters on Defense like Michigan State did. We'll win by 40." He then goes on to say, "even if Iowa loses the Championship game they're still in the playoffs."

They didn't know each other before this conversation. One said he benches 465 pounds and the other said he benches 435.
