Bench press:
Caputo 35
Choi 32
Compton 24
Martin 20
Reed 19
Whaley 18
Cotton 17
Meredith 17

Compton ran a 4.54 and had 32 inch very. Helped himself a TON!!!

Reed had 41 inch vert and ran in the 4.4s. Another guy that helped himself.

Rex said that he ran in the 4.5s. Anything lower than 4.58 and I would be surprised.

Eric Martin apparently ran a 4.51

... if true, he'll raise some eyebrows and may get a shot as a 3-4 OLB

Reed out-benches cotton and jumps out of the freakin gym.

He was outrageously under-utilized.

He just made millions of dollars today.

Millions? He won't get drafted that high.

It is going to pain me to do this but....to be fair to Vince, he was signed by the Bills last year and was cut right before the season. So he isn't that removed from the game.

Has nothing to do with how high he will be drafted. His numbers gave him a security blanket when he gets into camp.

He will get ample opportunity to live up to his perceived potential whereas a guy who doesn't necessarily have those kinds of numbers is more likely to be cut.

Given enough opportunity Kyler can have a solid career in the NFL.

My point is that he has just given himself a large buffer and there is no way it will be a "wham bam thank you ma'am" type of deal for him.

Typically Nebraska receivers have an incredibly small window to prove themselves and if they don't they are quickly cast out like lepers.

You can have the best numbers in the world, if you don't produce it doesn't matter!!! These numbers can get you in the league. Production makes you stay in the league. After you are in no one cares about those numbers anymore. He will make money through his career that may add up to millions but what he did today didn't make him millions. It gave him the opportunity.

And what I'm saying is I believe that given ample opportunity (which he earned today) he will have a healthy career in the NFL, thus making him millions. It was not a black and white statement, but you can take it however you like.

He's a baller.

You're acting like I just claimed 5 million dollars was immediately wired to his bank account.

And thanks for repeating my point in your post. "It gave him the opportunity".

That's all he needs.

Gilleylen bought himself a similar opportunity at pro-day, but unfortunately he 1. Is not a gamer 2. Was trying for a spot in one of the most talent-laden receiving corps in the league.

I get where Jed is coming from....i thought you were saying that his numbers were so good today that he would somehow shoot up to the 2,3,4th round.....

honestly i think he is a 7th rounder or signed FA

What hurts him is that the coaches son was afforded so much PT when it should have been Reed out there the whole time.

Barney is the ultimate saboteur.
