blackflag and I used to butt heads on occassion on the old CBS boards. I'm sure he thought some of my posts were "out there" as I did his. But the above highlighted I completely agree with. What are we playing for? Pride? Been there done that for five years now. If we lose, and I'm not hoping we do but if we lose maybe that will show that the team has stopped drinking the Pelini Kool-aide.

Yes. PRIDE. Maybe you and some others "don't have anything" to watch the remaining games for, but to insinuate there is nothing left for these division 1 elite athletes to play for simply because the preseason goals set cannot be achieved is absolutely ridiculous and asinine. These kids have pride in their team, in their school and in their own abilities. They sweat and bleed all year for that team. They are friends. They are a "Family." "You play for me and I'll play for you." All of the cliches that sound corny to someone who hasn't had the privilege of playing the game at the level they play.

Been there done that for five years? You have not invested anywhere near what the players have in this team and program. These guys will show up and play their asses off. For themselves. For their team mates and for their coach.

Call me a Bo supporter or what ever you want. I am speaking for those who step on the field and strap it up for the University of Nebraska.

not some upstart team from a c - USA or acc or sunbelt

our goal is never to reach a bowl game because that should be a given esp with our schedule

national title goal gone conference champ gsme gone. bowl either Tempe or fla for outback which could be losses. so yeah outside of playing for whatever they feel like most main important goals are gone.

This moment they are playing for the love of the game bo or maybe pro life.
