He said they told the Huskers they better be ready to play their best on Saturday. He said something else and I was busy with the kids at the time, so didn't get a chance to fully evaluate if I was hearing him correctly.

I will listen again myself as I was simply going to ask anyone who might have been listening.

I picked Nebraska to win this game last week but Im leaning towards PSU as of right now. Agreed. That would make this game matter the first year. It needs to matter to be a (edit: GREAT) rivalry.

Yes, BRS, he talked a great deal about focus. He alluded to what others in this thread were speaking about, that this game will be renowned and everyone will be watching. This game will be talked about and people will remember it for a long time. This is an opportunity to show the nation. And that players will need to play with a single focus in order to win.

Coach Brown sounds like he would suit up for this game himself if he could. He always sounds inspired, but this game has him fired up a few extra degrees I think. That's just my impression though, I could be off base there.

The times I have been around coach brown, it wasn't hard for me to want to do better. He's a guy that I would fight side-by-side with. I know if we were n a fox-hole, he'd go back to back & we'd mow em' down until we were both out of ammo.

He's a great dude.

one comment on how the huskers were treated back in '02 @ PSU. You know damn well, why and deserved it IMHO. Tell you what, you put yourself in PSU's position in '94 and see how you handle it. If I would've been the coach, I would've bought everyone on the team a ring and declared PSU the NC. and to be fair, if PSU would've been crowned NC, I wouldn't have a problem with the huskers doing the same thing.

Penn State wanted nothing of what we had in '94. Nor did they want anything Miami had either.

They're much better off feeling like they got robbed of their just due.
