Game Thread: ND at UNC

Great win for ND. I am not a fan of Mike Brey, but it looks like he's got his team playing well this year.

Huge win for ND, and frankly thought they were the better team last night so it would have been a shame if a late run gave them the loss heading back to South Bend. ND really only goes 6 deep, so if somebody gets into foul trouble that could cause some doom, especially Auguste, being the only sufficient big they have. I will say I love how ND plays, they have great spacing and when four people can shoot 3's it makes it very tough to guard. If they can get consistent rebounding out of their guards they could make a SS E8 type of run IMO.

Most ND fans will look at this as a huge win right now becuz it looks like one. As the season goes on and we're regularly reminded UNC isn't that good this win won't mean much. Nothing better for any coach than to come down to nutcracker time against Roy Williams - instant W every time becuz Good 'Ole Boy Roy doesn't have it when it's needed.

Even if UNC stumbles in league play, this will still more than likely be a top 50 RPI road win for Notre Dame's resume. It was a toss up game, and ND won. That's big for seeding purposes come March.

big test comes Saturday against Virginia. it is in south bend so they have a decent shot
