2019 College Hockey Tournament Bracket Challenge - The Second Season

I would argue that the Big Ten is what ruined D1 college hockey in the US.

If you were ok with college hockey being a niche sport and with it slowly dying as small schools one at a time dropping the sport, then sure, the B1G Conf being created changed college hockey in the west in a way that the majority of hard core fans do not like.

But if college hockey was ever going to expand, it needed schools like Penn St and Arizona St becoming involved and for some of it's bigger schools having a network dedicated to showing it's games on TV. Word is that now that PSU and ASU have started up and are thriving, other schools are considering making the jump up to Div 1, such as Illinois.

When bigger universities see that hockey can be a 3rd revenue sport, which PSU and ASU are demonstrating, some of the bigger schools out there, that already have club hockey, may choose to make the jump to Div 1. This will be good for college hockey.

As long as we can keep the Colorado College, Omaha, Lake St, and etc. around as well, then heck yeah. Illinois, Colorado, and other big names would be cool to see.

Stayin alive! PSU was playing for their lives, as their only way into the national tourney is winning the B1G, while OSU is in regardless. Now it's down to about a 50/50 shot

Notre Dame's only chance of getting in, too. So I was pleased to see OSU lose, gets 2 B1G teams in.

College hockey needs to get rid of the stupid PWR, which does nothing but give the same results as the RPI, 95-100% of the time.
