Everything that I've read about Bargnani says that he's a piss-poor defender.
This is not true at all. He's one of the best on-the-ball defenders for big men in the league. We rarely see someone score on an isolation with him.
It's true his help defense has been bad, but this year at WORST it's slightly below average.
Rebounding, meh. I understand the criticisms here, but he's been better, I think. I dunno.
But if I had to give grades it would be
9/10 on-ball defense
5/10 help defense
3/10 rebounding
Not exactly gaudy, but I don't think it's as bad as people are saying that it is, and his help defense has been very good this year in spurts.
The Big Pasta Sauce is an All-Star.
